CUPRA Singapore completes its model range with the all-new Leon, Terramar and Formentor VZ
Singapore, 31 July 2025 — Following the official launch of CUPRA Singapore earlier this year with the all-electric Born and Tavascan, the challenger brand from Barcelona expands its lineup in Singapore with three new internal combustion engine (ICE) models: the nimble Leon hatchback, the dynamic Terramar SUV and the sporty Formentor VZ crossover. With the three new ICE models, CUPRA now offers a range of choices to suit all customer lifestyles.
CUPRA Leon: A Fan-Favourite Reimagined
The CUPRA Leon carries on a legacy that was born on the racetrack and carried over to the road. The new CUPRA Leon brings the brand’s new exterior design language DNA to the compact segment with the shark-nose front end, integrated CUPRA badge on the bonnet, triangular CUPRA LED headlights and the illuminated CUPRA logo positioned at the centre of the rear LED light. 18-inch 'GARBI' alloy wheels accentuate the car’s sporty character, together with CUPRA’s signature “coast to coast” full LED tail lights.
The interior offers a high quality feel, with newly designed elements such as the centre console, door panels, dashboard, and upholstery. The new CUPRA Leon is available with a 1.5l turbocharged 4 cylinder eTSI mild hybrid engine, putting out 150PS with 250Nm of torque through a 7-speed DSG transmission. Handling is enhanced with the XDS Electronic differential lock and dynamic traction support for improved road-holding. The new CUPRA Leon is proudly designed, developed, and produced in Barcelona, at the brand’s headquarters in Martorell.
CUPRA Terramar: Striking Design And Family-Friendly Performance
The CUPRA Terramar SUV pays homage to Terramar, the historic racing circuit where the brand was born. The CUPRA Terramar embraces the new design language of the brand with a bold and confident look. The interior reinterprets sportiness with a driver-oriented cockpit enhanced by the design of the centre console. It also embraces sustainability with bucket seats wrapped in DINAMICA®with 73% recycled polyester. The new Terramar features the newly designed and improved Human Machine Interface, which is implemented in the digital cockpit behind the steering wheel as well as in the 12.9’’ infotainment system with a retro-illuminated touch slider.
Equipped with a 1.5l turbocharged 4 cylinder eTSI mild hybrid engine, it puts out 150PS with 250Nm of torque through a 7-speed DSG transmission. The Terramar is designed and developed in Barcelona, while production takes place in Audi’s Györ plant in Hungary.
CUPRA Formentor VZ: Uncompromising Performance
VZ means Veloz – Spanish for ‘fast’ – and the new CUPRA Formentor VZ has earned the badge. It offers peak performance in a captivating body style. CUPRA’s new exterior design language DNA comes to the fore once again with the shark-nose front end, triangular CUPRA matrix LED headlights and more.
The interior matches the Formentor VZ’s performance credentials, with Sabelt Extreme CUP bucket seats offering both support and style. The new CUPRA Formentor VZ comes with a 2.0l turbocharged 4 cylinder TSI engine,
delivering 333PS and 420Nm of torque with all-wheel drive, torque splitter technology, as well as premium Akebono brakes and an Akrapovič exhaust system. It completes the century sprint in just 4.8 seconds on the way to an electronically limited top speed of 250km/h. The new CUPRA Formentor VZ is designed, developed, and produced in Barcelona, at the brand’s headquarters in Martorell.
